Redesigning an Annual Corporate Summit Grows Momentum

An enterprise software company user conference

Upleveled event production emphasizes activations

Cutting-edge tech launches can’t happen at cookie-cutter events. An enterprise software provider needed to shake up its annual summit. Bringing a fresh take to this gathering of technology change-makers required a redesign. One that would showcase solutions and amplify energy.

A holistic vision unified the experience. Each element tied to the organization’s goals:

  • Enhance the sense of community.
  • Maximize opportunities for learning.
  • Grow momentum around all things software.

Re-mapping the expo layout took it from a traditional trade show to a more inclusive space that integrated multiple activations. Condensed floor plans created cohesion between, the internal properties portion of the expo, and the rest of the show. Curved pathways and theater spaces accommodated an organic attendee journey and set the stage for engaging content

Intentional and versatile design fostered an energized atmosphere. Meal services, wellness activities, and spaces where people could connect and linger gave everyone reasons to stay on-site longer. Plus, this enterprise software client loved having a partner to manage vendor relationships and keep all stakeholders satisfied.

Keynote content also tied the ideas shared on stage to hands-on labs. Attendees could immediately connect and apply what they heard by hopping onto one of 1,000+ demonstration laptops. This engaged participants to experiment with the new concepts, solidifying their learning.

Event design maximizes connections

Smart technology was just one aspect of the thoughtfully produced event. People across the organization connected in formal presentations, breakouts and casual moments. Like on-site pickleball lessons and matches. Even the CEO joined in on the friendly competition, proving wellness breaks can also break down leadership silos. Another networking opportunity involved cuddling with adorable, adoptable puppies. These thoughtful activations not only provided healthy downtime. They introduced attendees to each other in a fun, stress-free environment.

Some of the summit’s elements even made their way back to corporate headquarters.

  • The broadcast studio desk built especially for the event
  • A vibrant mural made on site remains on display.
  • Daily videos were translated post-event and showcased keynotes and customer interviews.

Great event design creates a thread that ties brand messaging to memorable moments. When set pieces from an event become permanent fixtures, it reinforces how time together influences organizational culture. For good.
